OUR EXPERIENCES
Experiences are the gifts that keep giving! According to researchers at Cornell University, experiential purchases (money spent on doing) tend to provide more enduring happiness than material purchases. At BrickWays, we delight in providing our residents with thoughtful and endearing experiences. Just to see the pure excitement they get when interacting with horses or doing anything they may never thought was possible in a lifetime is priceless. Giving the gift of an experiences also gives residents memories that only grow fonder over time.

Christmas party and gifts
Our annual exchange includes yummy holiday treats, presents for all residents and clients and there’s always a special visit from Santa Claus.

BEACH BUMS GAMES
Who doesn’t like being taken out for a ball game?! Residents and program participants get to have hotdogs and watch a local baseball game.

MT. HOLIDAY SNOW TUBING
Just because it snows all winter, doesn’t mean you have to stay inside! We love taking residents out for exercise and a snowy adventure.

AVALANCHE BAY/GREAT WOLF LODGE
Our friends with special needs love all of our water-based activities. They really bring out a certain sense of joy and playfulness.

Peace ranch: equine assisted learning
Residents gain confidence interacting with animals and get a very special horse certificate to take home with them to remember the day.

HOT AIR BALLOON RIDES
There’s something magical and special about looking down on the world from great heights. This experience is both calming and exciting!
DISNEY WORLD (2019)
We are officially taking a group of residents to Disney World in 2019! This will be a magical experience that will create special memories.
DISC GOLF
Disc Golf is another way we get to engage residents and clients recreationally. It’s an easy way to get everyone excited for a group hike in the woods!

OFF-SITE SOCIALS AT LOCAL RESTAURANTS
Sometimes it’s nice to break up the ordinary routine with an afternoon on the town. A simple dining experience can liven up a regular week.
DRUM CIRCLES: MUSICAL EXPLORATION
The teamwork required to make music gets our friends with special needs working together in unison and brings them closer together.

POTTERY CLASSES
Learning how to use a pottery wheel and make clay cups is one of our most popular activities. Residents say the experience is relaxing.
SEWING CLASSES
From pillows to canvas bags, our residents learn how to sew a variety of items from patterns. They also learn how to mend and repair clothes.
